Novocain or other local anesthesia is also used, but it is given after the patient is sedated. The patient can respond to questions, but most patients drowse through the procedure and do not remember it afterwards.

Hospital Dental Care

For other patients, hospital dental care is more comfortable. Dental care is performed under full general anesthesia in a specially equipped surgical suite in a local hospital. A qualified anesthesiologist administers the anesthesia and monitors the patient while Dr. Kurtzman takes care of the patient’s dental care needs.

They work with you to find an appointment time that’s convenient. They send timely reminders. You’re welcomed and any needs are met. Dr. Kurtzman explain what the plan/procedure is for the appointment. He explains what he’s doing and answers questions. He discusses next steps or followup. He never makes you feel you’re asking dumb questions or rushing him. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
