Georgia Dentist who Treats Patients with Williams’ Syndrome

If you need a Georgia dentist who treats patients with Williams’ Syndrome, you have come to the right place! William’s Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder characterized by medical problems including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays and learning disabilities or mild to moderate mental retardation. Although patients with William’s disorder are generally very social and friendly, they can also suffer from anxiety, including severe dental anxiety.

Treating patients with William’s Syndrome in a traditional dental office setting can be very challenging for the both the patients and the providers delivering care. Most dental offices are simply not equipped for treating these special care patients.

Dr. David Kurtzman has worked hard to create a dental practice that provides safe, effective and pain-free dental care for patients with William’s Syndrome as well as other disabilities. Our office is specially equipped to handle special care patients, however, it is safer to treat some patients with William’s Syndrome in a hospital setting. This is particularly due to the cardiovascular problems that go along with this genetic disorder.

Trusted Dental Care & Williams’ Syndrome

Dr. Kurtzman provides safe, comfortable Atlanta dental care for most patients with William’s Syndrome in specially equipped operating rooms at Wellstar Windy Hill and Kennestone Hospitals under general anesthesia. Patients are placed under general anesthesia by trained anesthesiologists. In the hospital setting, patients are monitored for the entire time they are receiving care, with special attention to their cardiovascular systems . Treating William’s Syndrome patients in a hospital setting enables Dr. Kurtzman to provide effective, pain-free care while at the same time ensuring patients’ safety.

Dr. Kurtzman gladly accepts William’s Syndrome patients who are referred by other dental offices. In fact, patients with William’s Syndrome have traveled from as far as South Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee to be treated by Dr. Kurtzman. Referring these patients to Dr. Kurtzman ensures that they will receive the special care they need and allows other dentists to focus on the patients they serve best. Once patients are treated, they are sent back to their referring offices for recall and recare.

If you or a patient in your practice has William’s Syndrome and requires special dental care, please contact our Dentists who Treats Patients with Williams’ Syndrome David Kurtzman, DDS today to schedule an appointment. We look forward to hearing from you.

Dr. Kurtzman was professional and friendly as he and his staff always are. He explained everything clearly and provided steps for me to follow through. I have been seeing Dr. K for over 20 years and would not go to anyone else.

They work with you to find an appointment time that’s convenient. They send timely reminders. You’re welcomed and any needs are met. Dr. Kurtzman explain what the plan/procedure is for the appointment. He explains what he’s doing and answers questions. He discusses next steps or followup. He never makes you feel you’re asking dumb questions or rushing him. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Having recently moved to Marietta we were most concerned about leaving our medical professionals behind. Dr. Kurtzman and his team quickly allayed all our concerns. From simple cleaning to complex implant procedures they made it all seem effortless. Loved the atmosphere of the office and the people were truly cheerful and friendly and skillful.

I came to see Dr. K to fix a filling done by another provider. The filling had caused pain ever since it was done eight months prior and the other provider was unable to figure out why even after two follow-up visits. Dr. K determined that the filling was loose and replaced it. The replacement process was almost spa-like thanks to the relaxing gas and deft skills of Dr. K. Now, this filling fits perfectly and I can chew on that side of my mouth for the first time in eight months. Thank You, Dr. K!

I have been a patient of Dr. David Kurtzman for years, even before he opened his current office in Kennesaw. He and his dental hygienists provide professional and friendly service. Dr. Kurtzman is the best!

Great dentist and oral hygenist Laurie. Visits are almost fun. Have been going to Dr K for over 30 yrs. Where one dentist told him many years ago it was not worth trying to save my teeth Dr K ignored, worked with me, and I still have my teeth.

Hello all, Zanifer's family are all pleased with the care and results of her last visit. I am even more happy to receive confirmation that we are doing a very good job in maintaining her oral hygiene. My wife, even with her medical condition acknowledges the kindness from each of you. Thanks again and a Very Happy Mothers day to all the Mommy's. Kris
